Week 48 - 18 Investigators at church. WAHOO!

Men of Steel. HAHA! Kelson doing his best Superman impression
but with a "Y" on his chest instead of an "S"

Hey everybody!!

I have 11 months in the mission today...woah. Time is just flying. My companion always says a phrase to the people that say we don´t have time that I LOVE. He says, "We have time, what we don´t have is LIFE." That´s SO true! Just wish I had more life. Ya know? Haha!

Kelson's favorite picture from the
youth choir at General Conference.
Brothers holding hands. Here
is the story that has gone viral
So for everyone that is asking me what part of the conference was my favorite, it was these two little boys (which I assume are brothers) holding hands in the choir. That just melted my heart. I will attach a picture! (Here is the Story Online)

This week we had our Zone Class and it was great! We had a really cool experience because we did Workshops of 10 minutes each and the District Leaders and the Sister Training Leaders and we gave the classes, we all learned lots and lots! We are gonna achieve a lot this month, I love this Zone! We have so many great missionaries and so many NEW ones that are just excited and ready to work!

We had the coolest Sunday this week because we had 18 investigators show up to church! WOOO!! My companion and I were jumping off the walls all day. Literally. I love being a missionary! Our problem is we need like 4 twins so we can go and visit all the people we´d like to....if only!

Today we went with Elder Tolli and Elder Duran to play racquetball and that was SO fun!! The place is literally behind our department buildings so we I want to go there more! It was lots of fun! It´s different here though...they call it Squash and it is with a smaller ball. And this place didn't have a cement roof so the ball can go out above, but it was still so fun!

This week we got a call from an investigator that hadn't been progressing and we just hadn't been able to see her for a long time and then she just called us on Friday and said that she missed us and she FINALLY started reading the Book of Mormon and she wants to be baptized! YEAH! We are gonna work with her a lot more now, it´s so amazing how the timing of the Lord works out!

Kelson's Friends, Sister Wyson &
Jackson heading to France and Russia
I know this is the true church of Jesus Christ and that this is his work. We are in the last days, like our beloved Apostles have repeatedly said over years, the disintegration of the family is what will bring upon us the calamities of the last days, so STAY WITH YOUR FAMILIES! Unless you are a missionary, you can leave for a while (Shout out to Tracie Wyson and Hailie Jackson! #France and #Russia!!)

Well I love you all so much and hope you have a GREAT week!

  1. Kelson, I love reading all your letters. You have a happy positive attitude so everything is cool and fun whether it's hard or discouraging or not. What a great attitude! I love you and am proud of your constant progress. It's neat being home, even though I am a little lost and don't get as much done as I did on my mission. It's just different things. Today I entertained at lunch bunch- Adrien came to lunch with Roger. Then Ali, Alyssa and Aubrey came ofer with their little ones and we played and had lunch after. There were nine children and it was so fun. Ali is here with her four children and they are enrolled in school till Christmas. Justice is in Kuait and returns in January. Likely in the summer they will go overseas on their next posting.

    I love you, Grandma Olsen
