Estela's Baptism - Home Next week! |

The Last Letter...
Dearest Friends and Family,
This week we had the miracle of miracles! On Wednesday while on exchanges with some zone leaders I felt to go see Estela who has been hearing missionaries for almost a year and a half (I taught her when I was here over a year ago). She had reluctantly accepted a baptismal date for later in December and we were going to work with her to achieve it. Recently she has begun coming to church and reading the Book of Mormon. When I arrived at her house she looked SO surprised and kinda laughed nervously and said she wanted to talk to us outside in the street.
Once we were on the street she started talking about the baptismal date she had accepted for later in December and I thought she was going to say she wasn't ready. She surprised me. She said she wanted to be baptized (this coming) Saturday and she wanted me to baptize her! I could NOT believe it! I just about fell over! (Kelson would have been home for her original baptism date!)
She told me that she had decided she wanted to be baptized (on that coming) Saturday and she was going to call me to tell me, but she thought I'd think she was crazy so she decided not to. That was the moment when we knocked on her door. After explaining that to us, I was overwhelmed with the Spirit and was grateful we had followed that impression to leave our plans for a moment and visit her. If she wasn't 100% convinced when she made the decision alone in her house she sure was when we showed up.
After a year and a half of an internal and external battle, the Spirit really did a number on her helping her have the faith to take this big step. I admire Estela and her faith and dedication. She will be an amazing member of the church.
Next week for a lot of reasons I probably won't get to write much of an email so let's call this my last! But I'll see ya'll soon enough.
I know that this church is true. I KNOW that God lives and He sent his majestic Son to give his live to and for us. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and restored the glorious truths of eternity to the earth along with sacred Priesthood Keys. I know that families can be together forever if we receive and obey the ordinances and commandments of the Gospel.
God loves you. He knows you. Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. I know that and so testify as one of His representatives in His name, amen.
